Paul Watson France

Pourquoi je participe à l'appel des consciences

The only way to protect our oceans which are our live support system, is for all of us to participate, to get involved.

When I was 10 years old, I spent a summer swimming with a family of beavers, in Canada. Every day I was down there, playing with them. It was a wonderful time. Next summer, I couldn’t find them anywhere, and I found out trackers got them during the winter. I began to walk the trap line and free every animal I could see.

Canadian environmental activist, founder

Paul Watson  joined a Sierra Club protest against nuclear testing in 1969. He was an early and influential member of Greenpeace, crewed and skippered for it, and later was a board member. In 1977, he left the organization and he formed Sea Shepherd Conservation Society.
